Inspired by 19th-Century glazed American one-piece flowerpots with saucers (and drainage holes), Rajiv threw these with stoneware clay that was then glazed by Guy Wolff using a traditional glaze he made, known as "Tobacco Spit", used extensively in South Carolina in the 1800s. Guy fired these pieces in a propane-fueled outdoor kiln on his property.
